THINGS WE DONT APPLY IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS

Here is some of the best relationship advice we are least likely to take:
Pick the nice guy.
Damn those bad boys. They’re exciting, and they give just about everything a sense of adventure. What good girl doesn’t want to let her hair down? Unfortunately, bad boys do bad things. And no, you aren’t going to turn him around.
Don’t read too far into things.
“It took him an hour to text me back; there must be someone else.” We worry, and the more we care, the more we worry. But while there probably wasn’t someone else, if you keep over-analyzing everything, there probably will be.
Tell him what’s bothering you.
Communication is key. But “I’m fine” is such an easier way to go about plotting revenge. And shouldn’t he know what’s bothering you? After all, he did it!
Get Your Guy To Listen
Don’t dwell on the past.
Whether it’s your past with him or your past with someone else, it has a way of ruining the future. But we women don’t easily forgive or forget. We’ve learned (from one too many bad boys) that we need to protect ourselves.
Give him space.
Guys like their space. But women need it, too. Having separate lives lets you both bring something to the relationship and not just be defined by each other. Problem is, when we love (or just really like) someone, we want to be with that someone all the time.
Don’t wait around for him.
Why hasn’t he called? Why hasn’t he called? Why hasn’t he called? No matter how many times we ask that question, we are so happy when he does actually call. Hook, line, and sinker.
